Obituary

Scott Blankenship, 57, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, June 7, 2021, in a Pine Bluff hospital. He was born January 7, 1964, in Pine Bluff. He was a 1982 graduate of Pine Bluff High School, and was a graduate of U.A.M. He was a member of Good Faith Carr United Methodist Church, Demolay, Junior Deputies, Boy Scouts of America, and Theta Xi Fraternity.

Scott enjoyed fishing, gaming, and was an accomplished dog trainer. He was a published author, having written “Battle for Hope.”

He is preceded in death by his father, William H. Blankenship; his grandparents, Leon and Eula Price and Bill and Lucy Blankenship; and his good friend, Earnest Byrd.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Price Blankenship; his great-uncle, J.D. Siler; special friends, John Cowan of Jinks, OK, and Margaret Byrd of Malvern; and several cousins.

Visitation will be 1:30-2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel followed by funeral services at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Leon Jones and Pastor Mack Milner officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Good Faith Carr United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 3703 Ryburn Rd., Pine Bluff, AR 71603.
