Obituary

Roy E. Moyers, 78, of Pine Bluff, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019.

Born January 2, 1941 at Pine Bluff, he was a son of the late W. E. “Bill” Moyers and Mary L. Boyd Moyers.

A 1959 graduate of Watson Chapel High School, Mr. Moyers was reared and received his early education in Pensacola, Florida.

He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad (Cotton Belt) as engineer after 33 years of service; and was also a journeyman plumber and a former member of the Arkansas National Guard.

An avid Arkansas Razorback fan, he loved working in his yard and enjoyed a good cross word puzzle.

In addition to his parents, was preceded in death by a son, Scott Moyers; two siblings, Robert “Bob” Moyers and Billie Anette Kovach; and a grandson, Dustin Toddy.

He is survived by three children, Darryl Moyers of Pine Bluff, Roy A. Moyers of Malvern; and Jenny Crow of Hot Springs; former wife and mother of his children, Lana Moyers; eight grandchildren, Haylee Moyers, Scottie Moyers, Spencer Moyers, Jordan Moyers, Jacob Moyers, Mallory Moyers, Bryan Toddy and Samantha Toddy Mauex and Husband Toby; three great-grandchildren, Annalyse, Silas & Lydia; daughter-in-law, Tammy Alexander; Sister-in-law, Kathy Moyers; special friends, Dorothy Green & Richard Hodges; and many other loving family and family.

Graveside memorial services will be Friday, July 19th, 1:00 p.m. in Branch Cemetery with Marion Woolley officiating.
