Ola Faye Veazey, 90, of White Hall, Arkansas, peacefully left her earthly home for her eternal heavenly home, November 30, 2020. She was born May 23, 1930 to John Tollie and Mary Ethel Bowling in Salem, AR, Fulton County. She was the star basketball player for the girls’ basketball team in Salem, AR.
She graduated from Draughon Business College and had secretarial positions in Little Rock, Kansas City and Pine Bluff. She retired from the Pine Bluff School system where she served as librarian for nineteen years.
She was number eight of thirteen children. Some of the best times in her life were at the annual Bowling family reunion held annually on Bowling Hill, their home place.
In 1954, she married Clarence Amel Veazey. He went to Heaven on June 18, 1983. They raised three children together.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings, C. P. Bowling, Fort Worth, TX, Frances Holt of Jonesboro, AR, Coy Bowling of Mountain Home, AR, John Bowling of Little Rock, AR, Nova Gaines of Overland Park, KS, Clarence Bowling of Salem, AR, Betty Johnson of Alton, MO and Bud Bowling of Salem, AR.
She is survived by three children, Bruce Veazey and Brenda Veazey of White Hall and Kathy Faver and son-in-law Perry Faver of Benton, AR, two grandsons Dr. John Faver and his wife Dr. Nihan Ucisik Faver of Houston, TX and Benjamin Faver of Benton, AR.
Ola has one surviving sister, Nadine Rough of Kansas City, MO, and three brothers, Shelby Bowling of Lincoln, MO, Bradley Bowling of McAlester, OK and Bob Bowling of West Plains, MO.
Ola was a faithful member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church for over 65 years. She taught the Beginner Sunday School Class for over 40 years. She was the President of the Ladies Sunday School Class and an active member of the Sr. Citizens group.
She was a member of the Retired Teachers Assn. and the White Hall Fitness Center Silver Sneakers.
Ola loved people, loved to talk, laugh and eat. In her later years, she loved watching Wheel of Fortune, Dialing for Dollars and working Sudoku puzzles. She always loved the youth of Bethany Baptist Church and playing games with Bruce, Brenda, James Buckner and her ‘cheating buddy’ Nicholas Coleman.
Graveside service by Robinson & Fuller, White Hall Funeral Chapel will be held Friday, December 4, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in Center Grove Cemetery in Grant County, with Reverend Jonathan Witcher officiating.
Pallbearers will be Glen Nevels, James Buckner, Brendan Coleman, Chaney Coleman, Nicholas Coleman and Chad Nevels. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Doug Coleman.
CDC guidelines regarding masks and social distancing will be followed.

Bruce, Brenda, Kathy and families, I grew up across the street from your Grandmother Veazey. Your Mom was always so nice to us when she visited. I would occasionally see her when out shopping and she would always stop and visit. I’m sorry for your loss. Linda Clark Baker
