Obituary

Mary Elaine McKenney, 80, of White Hall, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

She was born June 20, 1940, in El Dorado, to Nemon and Murle Stiles Fitzhugh.

Elaine was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and a Past Grand Royal Matron for the Order of the Amaranth for the state of Arkansas.

She had worked as an accountant and office manager for Lively Realty Company and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter in law, Laura McKenney, and a brother Charles Fitzhugh.

Survivors include her husband, Jonathan P. McKenney, Sr.; sons, Jonathan P. McKenney, Jr. of White Hall, Eric (Jamie) McKenney of Waxahachie, Texas; a grandson, Nemon Connor McKenney; brothers, Dewayne Fitzhugh of Kentucky, Terry Don Fitzhugh of Pine Bluff and Troy Lee Fitzhugh of Virginia.

A Rosary will be held at 9:45 A.M. prior to the Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, February 1, 2021, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Joseph Marconi and Deacon Noel F. “Bud” Bryant officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
