Keith Dwayne Cochran, 55, of Rison, was a big Star Trek fan.

            He passed away Friday, March 10, 2023.

            Keith was born July 19, 1967 in Greenville, Mississippi, son of Robert Cochran and Carol Smith Light.

            He was reared and received his early education in Mississippi and Star City, Arkansas before graduating from Pine Bluff High School.

            Keith worked at Carpet Barn for many years as a carpet layer.  Recently he worked as a handyman.

            He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cochran; son, Jonathan Cochran; and two brothers, Steve Cochran and Carmen Cochran.

            Survivors include his wife, Deborah Cochran of Rison; mother, Carol Light of White Hall; five children, Amber Johnson, Michelle Ann Myrick, Silvia Fernando, Nathan Whitlock and Preston Whitlock; brother, C.J. “Guy” Light; step-daughter, Jessica “Jaylin” McDaniel; and several grandchildren.

            Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
