Harold L. Lewis, 75, of White Hall, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, August 9, 2021, at his home.
Mr. Lewis was born February 15, 1946, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Chris Lafell Lewis and Helen Vay Stone. He was reared and received his education in Pine Bluff, where he graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1964. He served his country in the Army Reserves during Vietnam.
Mr. Lewis worked for Cotton Belt Railroad (currently Union Pacific) for 17 years before opening his own business (Lewis Floor Finishing) in 1984. He served customers all over Arkansas for 31 years before his retirement in 2015.
Mr. Lewis was an avid hunter and was a member of several hunting clubs. He loved to run his hunting dogs (beagles) during his hunting adventures. He also loved to garden and give his homegrown vegetables to his friends and family.
He attended Hardin Baptist Church in the Hardin Community.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Lewis (whom he married September 8, 1972, in Pine Bluff); son, Chris Lewis and his wife Beth of Driftwood, Texas; two grandchildren, Lauren and Noah Lewis; mother-in-law, Herma McGarity of White Hall; sister-in-law, Debra Pruitt of Sheridan; three nieces, Carmen Pruitt of North Little Rock, Teresa Mutzberg-Haustein and her husband Matt of Pine Bluff, and Stacy Hutcheson- Morse of Rison; cousin, Sonny Lewis of Mountain View; and a very special friend, Ethel Hildersheim of White Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Christine Lewis Mutzberg; and a niece, Cheryl Childress.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, August 13, 2021, 10:00 AM, at Hardin Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Taylor officiating.
