"Rocky"
Musgrove
Sr.
Forrest C. (Rocky) Musgrove Sr., was born August 30, 1934, in Pine Bluff to Joseph Franklin and Virginia Lee Williford Musgrove. He grew up helping his father, who was a commercial fisherman and farmer, working in the cotton fields and vegetable gardens and fruit orchards. His love of gardening continued throughout his life, and even continued to grow melons long after retirement as co-owner of Pine Bluff Brake and Drum Supply in Pine Bluff.
Rocky was a former member of the Redfield Masonic Lodge, a Shriner, and a member of the special police force for the Pine Bluff Police Department. He was an avid boater, loved camping and canoeing, and enjoyed snagging catfish at the river. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and getting together with relatives. Known as a jokester, he loved to make people laugh, but also loved teaching by example the lessons of life in hard work and honesty.
Rocky will be missed by his wife of 69 years, Rubie Lee Musgrove as a loving husband. He was a great dad to his children, Ginger House, Linda Thomas, and Rocky Musgrove (Keena), and a wonderful grandfather to Samuel White (Amber), Michelle Carrillo King (Ricky), Tony Carrillo, Amanda Nicole Thomas (Josh), Cortney Musgrove (Jered), and Stephanie Musgrove and 11 great-grandchildren. Rocky also leaves behind twin brothers, Billy and Jimmy Musgrove.
Rocky passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the age of 87, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Burton Wheat and Milton Musgrove; and a sister, Sylvia Lee.
Visitation will be held 9:30 A.M. Saturday, July 16, 2022, in the Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel, with funeral services following at 10:30 A.M., officiated by Richie Hegwood. Burial will be in the Musgrove Cemetery.
