Derek was an older cousin whom we used to visit in Caterham Avenue, Barkingside, Ilford, Essex, UK often on a Sunday - and I recall that his dad, Uncle Frank used to make motorised boats which travelled round a pond in the rear garden.

I remember when he had a motor scooter, probably a Lambretta he took me from my home in South East London to the Tower of London the other side of The Thames. I had to hold on tightly riding over the cobbles. Local lad, near where I lived, Tommy Steele's "Singing the Blues" was popular at the time, along with flared skirts to our dresses.
Missed your Christmas card last year hence looking for details of you this year.
Condolences to your family. Rest in Peace.
