I have known BJ since I was a kid growing up in Sheridan, where he was serving as a police officer. After he left Sheridan, we were reunited when I went to work for the Pine Bluff PD. Bj was a great mentor and a mountain of a man! i was very blessed to know him and call him a friend. He helped more lives than anyone can imagine throughout his career of public service. I have no doubt he is now in the loving arms of Jesus Christ, being comforted himself until we meet again. God Bless are his family and many friends, as he was loved by many! Prayers for peace and comfort in this time of loss. No doubt heaven has gained one more angel!!

I have known Buren for many years and that smile of his will be missed. I would say that I have known Buren since about 1962 or 63 and rode in several different police cars with him over the years. when I got my certification from ALETA, I was in a class he taught. To all his friends and family, remember him and love him, he was a good person. May you rest in peace old friend
