Obituary

Mr. Archie F. Rhoden Sr. of White Hall, Arkansas, entered eternal life on May 29, 2019 at the Circle of Life Hospice Facility in Bentonville, Arkansas at the age of 75. Mr. Rhoden was born September 9, 1943 in Grant County to Corbet Yancey Rhoden and Elsie Lewis Rhoden.
Archie is survived by his loving fiancée of 26 years, Robin Furgason of White Hall, Arkansas. His sons, Archie F. Rhoden Jr.
(Charlisa) of White Hall, Yancey A. Rhoden (Brandi) of Madison, Alabama, and daughter Kellie J. McCoy (Jonathan) of Bentonville, Arkansas. Grandchildren: Clayton and Joshua Rhoden of White Hall, Dalton and Calli Rhoden of Madison, Alabama, Julia McCoy of Bentonville and Saylor McCoy of Memphis, Tn. Great-Granddaughter Emma Kay Rhoden of White Hall and numerous nieces and nephews. Other children, although not related by blood, Chuck Furgason (Sylinda), Heather Smith (Mike) and Grandson, Will Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents Corbet and Elsie Rhoden, his loving wife Julia "Judy" Axsom Rhoden of White Hall. Seven brothers; Edward, Alton, Vernon, Richard, Johnnie, Donald Jean, and Robert "Bobby" Rhoden all from Grant County Arkansas.
Archie graduated from White Hall High School in 1961 and married Julia "Judy" Axsom, his hometown sweetheart in 1966. Judy was a devoted wife and mother to their three children and sadly passed away in 1984 from Leukemia. He dedicated the rest of his life to loving and taking care of their children. Archie begin his career as store manager of Weingarten's in 1962 to 1980. He then went on to manage Budget Saver until he became a Little Debbie Salesman in 1984 and was soon promoted to regional manager. He was known from the very top of McKee Foods down to the distributors as a dedicated employee and great salesman with total integrity. He retired in March 2008. Archie was on the Jefferson County Mounted Patrol Sheriff's Department. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Archie was well liked and respected by all and was a role model for all the younger generations of nieces and nephews. His children and grandchildren remember him as a kind, gentle, patient, hardworking and dedicated father and grandfather who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Pallbearers: Chuck Cox, Terry Frye, Stephen Frye, Scott Young, James Bridges, and Zelmer McElroy.
Visitation will be Monday evening, June 3rd from 5:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 4th at Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel, located at 8302 Dollarway Road in White Hall with Rev. Russell Rhoden officiating. Burial services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 6707 Dollarway Rd in White Hall.
A reception will follow at White Hall First Assembly of God Church, located at 801 W. Hoadley Street, White Hall. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Archie's life. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jeremy Wallace, a longtime caregiver, Patricia Parker of Angels Hospice of Pine Bluff and Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville for taking great care of Archie.

He was one of the sweetest men I have ever known! He always treated me like I was one of his, and while I am so sad to see him go, I know he is in good company, and I pray for Comfort and Peace for all who knew him, loved him and whose lives he touched. The world will truly be a little poorer without him in it!

Robin and the Rhoden Families My heart was sadden to read of the passing of Archie. Our Friendship went back to our school days. He was one of my favorite guy friends. May each of you feel the warmth of Gods loving arms around you today and the difficult days ahead. There is coming a grand reunion day when we will see our loved ones again and oh What a day that will be. Gods Blessings upon each of you
